TENNIS (GLTA)

The Rainbow Games is thrilled to welcome GLTA sanctioned Tennis back to the schedule. Following strong interest and an energising atmosphere at the previous Games, the 2026 competition will take place at the TotalCoach Tennis Centre, St Johns. (Manuka Doctor Arena is closed for repairs).

Players will have the opportunity to compete for ranking points, test their skills and connect with the international LGBTQI+ tennis community, all while playing on courts with world class facilities and a proud sporting legacy.

Ways to Register

​​​​​​​Registration for Tennis requires two steps:

  1. Register on Tournament Software (no payment needed).

  2. Register on the Rainbow Games website using the pink button below.

Your entry is not confirmed until both steps are completed.

REGISTRATION COSTS

Registration + Sport Fee (per person)

  1. Early Bird: $59 (from 15 February to 15 April 2026)
  2. Standard: $69 (from 16 April to 16 October 2026)

  3. Sport Fee $50 Tennis Sport Fee (includes one category – either singles or doubles)

Your registration includes access to a full Rainbow Games experience:

  • Ticket to the Opening Ceremony (Thursday 29 October)
  • Ticket to the Closing Event (Sunday 1 November)
  • Access to the arts, culture, and social programme throughout the Games
  • Opportunity to compete for medals and represent your community with pride
  • Player accreditation pass 
  • Your fee includes a contribution to the Rangatahi Legacy Initiative, supporting future generations of LGBTQI+ youth in sport

Additional category entries (singles or doubles) are available for an additional $20 NZD during registration.

Additional $5 USD is applicable for each registration.

Make your games count towards the Trans Tasman Cup! Open to players from Oz and NZ, your points help to determine a winner of the cup. Pick your team in the registration form.

All draws are Inclusive of all gender identities and expressions. Anyone can enter according to their playing division.

Draws may be merged at the tournament director's discretion if entries are low
