Covid Dispensation

This year, a form will be used to apply for dispensation to have games missed due to Covid, count towards playoff eligibility. This form must be filled out by the Club Secretary prior to the game/s in question e.g. if a player has to self-isolate for 14 days and will miss two games, the form must be filled out prior to these two games being played.You can apply for multiple games in one form. Approved requests will be displayed in a live Google Sheet that I will share with all secretaries - this will be updated as I receive requests during the season. Rain outs 

Each grade will have a predetermined rain-out day:

- If Junior Saturday games are rained out - they will be rescheduled to the following Tuesday

- If Senior Saturday games are rained out - they will be rescheduled to the following Thursday

- If Monday games are rained out - they will be rescheduled to Thursday

- If Wednesday games are rained out - they will be rescheduled to the following Tuesday

- If Friday games are rained out - they will be rescheduled to the following Tuesday

- Both teams can agree to a draw - if one wants a draw and one wants to play, the rain out game will be played. 

- If the rained out date is rained out, the game will be deemed a draw

- Auckland Softball reserves the right to change rain out days for certain grades due to ground availability

Reschedules 

- Game dispensation criteria remains the same and games will be rescheduled if the criteria is met - see By-Law 13.

- In all other cases, the two teams wishing to reschedule must make contact and decide on a reschedule date before coming to me.

- If the rescheduled game is rained out, the game must be played within 14 days or the team that originally requested the reschedule will default.

- As per By-Law Section C. 19:9: "Teams may agree to reschedule a game if an agreement is reached by both teams, and both clubs then email the coordinator no less than 48 hours prior to the scheduled start time of the game.  The rescheduled game must happen within 14 days of the previous game.  The ASA reserves the right to reschedule or re-publish amended fixtures lists."
