We are an outdoor target archery club in Lower Hutt. 

Hours

From June through September our clubrooms are open from 10:00am to 12:30pm on Saturdays and Sundays. From October through May they are open from 10am to 3pm on both days.

Our range is open to members 24/7 year-round.

Visitor Shooting

Experienced archers may be permitted to use the range subject to an assessment of their shooting. Email our coaches to arrange an assessment.

Beginners Courses

We run courses for beginners from October through May. No experience is necessary and all equipment is provided. 

Courses are run by Archery New Zealand certified coaches and are open to adults and children from the age of 12. 

Consisting of four two-hour sessions held over successive weeks the courses cover safety, equipment, shooting, and scoring. We provide Olympic-style recurve bows and teach Olympic-style target archery but the skills taught are applicable to longbows, barebows or compound bows, and to field archery or bow hunting.

Upon successful completion of a course you will be able to shoot safely and qualified to shoot unsupervised. We will award you a certificate that should enable you to join any archery club in New Zealand. Having observed your shooting, your coaches will be able to provide you with personalized advice on equipment purchases.

Courses are scheduled according to coach availability, and often at short notice so we cannot provide you with a list of dates.  Please subscribe to our mailing list and we will email you as courses come up. Saturday and Sunday mornings and Monday evenings are the most common times but courses may be run at other times.

The fee for the course is $100 per person.
