Sailability Rotorua

Making Sailing availible to everyone...

Sailability Rotorua  (Bay of Plenty Disabled Sailing Trust) is a 'not for profit', volunteer-based organisation, offering sailing opportunities to anyone with a disability.

Volunteers

We need sailing skippers, patrol boat crews, dockhands, and shore crew. Behind the scenes, we need publicity personnel, volunteer co-ordinators, and fundraisers.

The people who participate in sailing with us are vulnerable, so we take our duty of care and safety responsibilities extremely seriously. We have strict procedures and policies in place to ensure everyone is safe.

New volunteers are given an induction, and allocated roles based on their experience and skill set. There are job descriptions for roles, and continual training to make volunteering as easy as possible.

We aim to create a supportive and positive environment for all volunteers and sailors. The goal is to offer a fun and rewarding experience for everyone involved with Sailability Rotorua.
