Masters Badminton 🏸

The general term Masters relates to all players aged 35 and above, and often incorporates players that are eligible for Veterans (aged 50+) or Super Vets (aged 60+).


Getting Involved 🀝

Competition dates are confirmed at the start of each year, and all interested players are placed into appropriate teams where possible.

Inter-Association Program – Masters πŸ†

The South Island Masters Inter-Association competition is a sanctioned team event for players turning 35 or older in the year of competition.

Format:

  • 4 Γ— Men’s Doubles
  • 4 Γ— Women’s Doubles
  • 4 Γ— Mixed Doubles

Timing: Held annually over the King's Birthday Weekend

Note: Playing down an age group is permitted (e.g., a 55-year-old may compete in the Masters).
