Fundraising Initiative – Stock / Calf Rearing Scheme

The South Canterbury Hunt operates a stock/calf rearing scheme as one of its key fundraising initiatives, and we encourage members and friends of the Hunt to consider getting involved.

The scheme is coordinated by Jimmy Mee, and we are currently seeking members or supporters who are able to rear stock/calves through to weaning (approximately 100 kg liveweight).

Once calves are weaned, they will be returned to one of the larger Hunt member properties to be grown out further.

For those with limited land—or even just a small lawn—you can still support this initiative by purchasing or donating a weaned calf/stock to be run on a larger property. For example, if a larger property is buying in weaned calves, you may choose to fund the purchase of one of those animals as your contribution.
