We have two ways to register for the 2022/2023 Season.  ​​​​​​​

Online Registration 

Online registration for the 2022/2023 season will be open to all returning and new players soon- just complete the registration form on this website.  It is a quick and convenient way to register!   

Selwyn Baseball Club Registration Days

The Selwyn Baseball Club will be holding two Registration Days, dates and times to be confirmed.

Come join the team!​​​​​​​  Registration Days will happen rain or shine.

  • On line registration will be available on site.
  • Several committee members and coaches will be available to answer any questions you may have about playing baseball in Canterbury.

So what happens next after I have registered and paid?

  • Teams will be formed by 18 October and you will be contacted by a team coach or a team manager shortly after that.
  • Team coach/manager will set a date for the first official training after that date, which will include a meet and greet with parents/players to outline expectations for the upcoming season.
  • Prior to this, there may be open trainings for grades, which will be posted on the Selwyn Baseball Club website calendar or Facebook.
  • Uniforms will be handed out during a dedicated team training day during last week of October.
  • CBA Pre-season scrimmages (where teams could be formed from different clubs if numbers are short) in Oct, dates and times TBC. These scrimmages are designed to give players game experience prior to the official CBA competition.  No competition points will be awarded from these games.
  • There will be no official CBA games on Labour Weekend (27 Oct) to allow for interested teams to travel to Nelson Heat Labour Weekend tournament.  
  • CBA 2020/2021 Competition starts on November 1 (Late start due to Covid)
  • There will be no official CBA games on Show Weekend, however there could be some scrimmages organised.
  • Last game before Christmas is  December, and the CBA Competition resumes on  January 2021..
