The awards celebrate innovation, excellence, and contributions to sport and recreation across Hawke’s Bay, from grassroots participation to elite performance.
Nominations now open and close on Sunday 4th October
The nomination period for the Forsyth Barr Hawke’s Bay Sport and Recreation Awards 2026 is:
- Nominations open: 31 August 2026
- Nominations close: Sunday 4 October 2026 (entries close at midday)
Other key dates for the awards are:
- Qualifying period: 1 October 2025 to 30 September 2026
- Finalists announced: 30 October 2026
Winners will be annouced at the awards function, held on Thursday 3rd December 2026 at the Napier War Memorial Centre
