The NZ Warriors South Island 14s Tournament was held in Oamaru over the weekend, hosted at Centennial Park which attracted enthusiastic crowds in what were two great days of Rugby League.  

In the 14s boys grade, the Aoraki Eels made history by claiming the Paddy Bryne Trophy for the first time since its inception. The Aoraki side went unbeaten across their four games in what was a dominant display football.  

Meanwhile, the 14s girls grade welcomed the Eastern Eagles and Linwood Keas from Canterbury for the first time, and were joined by Otago and Southland. The Southland Rams shone brightly in this division, securing their first South Island 14s title with a win over the Linwood Keas in the final that showcased their skill and teamwork.
