The aim of the ILT Southland Sports Awards is to inspire the Southland sporting community, recognise and honour outstanding achievements and performances, recognise and honour our top coaches, recognise and honour the services of our top officials and administrators, and promote positive sporting role models for Southlanders.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

ILT Senior Sportsperson of the Year: Jacob Duffy (cricket). Distinction Awards: Benji Culhane (hockey), Corbin Strong (cycling).

Te Rourou, One NZ Foundation Junior Sportsperson of the Year: Jimmy Taylor (rugby). Distinction Awards: Benson Boys (cycling) Siena Mackley (athletics).

BDO Invercargill Coach of the Year: Jonathan Yim (basketball).

Southland Kia Team of the Year: Southland Sharks (basketball). 

Creation Signs Official of the Year: Nicky McNaught (squash). Distinction Award: Erin Criglington (cycling)

NZME Masters Achievement Award: Southland men's Evergreen team (softball)
