Green Prescription

Green Prescription is a free service that provides support and encouragement to increase physical activity and healthy lifestyles across the South Canterbury region.

About

Our aim is to help you to live an active and healthy life.

Green Prescription is available for individuals who reside in South Canterbury only (Timaru, Geraldine, Twizel, Waimate, Temuka, Fairlie and Pleasent Point).

For healthy lifestyle support in Christchurch, please speak to your doctor or general practice team.

How do I get a Green Prescription?

Are you 18 years or over and want support to be more physically active? Do you live in South Canterbury?

Complete a Green Prescription self-referral form - or speak with your doctor, practice nurse or health care professional, and ask for a Green Prescription.

With Green Prescription you will have access to:

Support from one of our knowledgeable Healthy Lifestyle Advisors
Regular follow-ups to support you on your journey
