The Cooke Howlison Toyota Otago Sports Awards is the region’s premier night of sporting celebration, recognising the outstanding achievements and contributions of Otago’s athletes, teams, coaches, officials, volunteers, administrators and innovators.
Now in its 37th year, the 2026 awards brought the Otago sporting community together at the Edgar Centre on June 12 to celebrate excellence across every level of sport. From emerging young talent and grassroots volunteers through to Olympians, Paralympians and world-class performers, the awards recognise the people and organisations helping sport and active recreation thrive across our communities.
Organised by Sport Otago, the awards reflect our organisation's purpose of empowering Otago whānau to be active every day and our vision of making Otago the world’s most active region. While the achievements recognised on stage are remarkable, the awards also celebrate the coaches, officials, whānau, volunteers, innovators and supporters who help make those successes possible.
