About Springston Tennis Club

A local club, run by local people

Springston Tennis Club is a friendly, semi-rural tennis club based at Springston Domain in Selwyn.

We’re here for people who love tennis, want to learn tennis, or simply want to be part of a great local club.

Our club is run by volunteers. We’re also players, parents and community members who love the game and want to see tennis continue to thrive in Springston.

Behind every game is a volunteer

There’s a little more happening behind the scenes than you might see from the court.

Our committee gives up their time to organise junior and senior teams, coordinate competitions, communicate with players and families, manage registrations and keep the club running.

We also work closely with other tennis clubs and our local and regional tennis organisations. This helps us stay connected, access the right information and maintain good governance.

Most importantly, it helps make sure Springston Tennis Club is sustainable for the players who’ll come after us.

We’d love a few more hands

Many hands really do make light work.

We’re always looking for more people to join our committee and help share the load.

You don’t need to be an experienced committee member. You don’t need to know everything about tennis either.

If you’re willing to contribute a little time, share some ideas or take responsibility for the occasional job, we’d love to hear from you.

We only have a few committee meetings each year, mostly held at Springston Domain. There are plenty of different ways to help, so you don’t have to take on a huge role.

More volunteers means we can spread the jobs around, bring new ideas into the club and keep building a strong tennis community in Springston.
