Junior Tournaments

More court time. More opponents. More ways to grow.

Tournaments are a great way for junior players to take the next step with their tennis.

They give kids the chance to play more matches, meet players from other clubs and regions, and experience different playing styles.

Tournament tennis also helps develop the parts of the game that are hard to learn through coaching alone.

Players learn to:

  • adapt their game to different opponents
  • think about shot selection and match strategy
  • manage scoring and match pressure
  • build confidence playing independently
  • learn from wins and losses
  • become more comfortable in a competitive environment

Most importantly, tournaments mean more time on court. Every match is another opportunity to practise, problem-solve and become a more confident player.

You don’t have to be the best player in your team to start entering tournaments. There are opportunities for developing players as well as more experienced competitors.
