North Canterbury Pony Club is very excited to welcome you all to the Hinterland North Canterbury  Springston Trophy 2024.  

The dates for this event are 04-06 October and all phases of the event will be held at Rangiora Pony  Club which is located at the Rangiora A&P Grounds. 

Clubs making up North Canterbury include Belfast/Eyreton/Kaiapoi/Okuku/Oxford/Rangiora and  View Hill, and we also have assistance from Amberley Pony Club in hosting the 2024 event.  

North Canterbury is lucky enough to have a wealth of knowledge and 90% of our officials are local. 

The last time Springston Trophy was held at the Rangiora Showgrounds was in 2008 when again  North Canterbury hosted. This event had 36 teams entered and was taken out by the home team of  Rangiora Pony Club.  

Hinterland is our naming rights sponsor for this event and is a family owned, independent equestrian  brand, bringing together both innovative designs and traditional craftsmanship to present a unique  curation of products for horse, dog, and rider. 

Hinterland while originally born in Central Otago is now located just outside of Rangiora and we are  thrilled to have them onboard. 

Hinterland will be our supplier of the apparel for this event. 

One of New Zealand’s best young course designers and a North Canterbury resident is Cam  Robertson. Cam is already hard at work designing and constructing a brand-new course for this  event.

Accommodation 

There are several Motels in Rangiora that are available should you want this type of lodging. Horse Accommodation 

As a North Canterbury Pony Club Event we do have access to all the Pony Club grounds/yards etc in  the area for camping with your equine friends. Please contact Theresa Rosanowski (details below) if  you require help with this option.
