WELCOME TO STANWAY PONY CLUB

Stanway Pony Club is a friendly, welcoming club based at our home grounds on Makino Road, serving riders from the wider Feilding and Manawatū area.

We provide opportunities for riders up to 25 years of age to develop their riding skills, expand their knowledge of horse care, build confidence, and be part of a supportive equestrian community. We also offer the NZPCA Riders Without Horses programme for people aged 6 years and over, including adults, who would like to learn about horses and develop their horse care knowledge without owning their own horse. Participants work through a workbook-based programme covering a range of horse-related skills and knowledge.

Our rallies combine mounted lessons with practical horse care, games, activities, and Pony Club certificate work. Riders can progress through the Pony Club certificate pathway while developing the skills, knowledge, and confidence to become capable and responsible horse people.

Members have the opportunity to take part in camps, team events, rallies, and competitions if they choose, while also enjoying the many other aspects of Pony Club including learning, friendship, teamwork, and spending time with their horses.

We welcome riders from all backgrounds, including those from experienced horse families and those taking their first steps into the horse world. Whether riders are working towards personal goals, developing their horsemanship, enjoying competition, or simply having fun with their horse and friends, Stanway Pony Club provides a place to learn, grow, and belong.
