Welcome to the Tanglewood Foundation Junior Rhinos Rugby Club

Our mission is to help all our kids be the best they can be in Junior Rugby and beyond.

Our Junior Rugby club caters to young players of varying ages.

Nursery Rhinos (ages 1-5 years)

Rippa Rhinos (Year 0-2 grades)

 Tackle Rhinos (Year 3-8 grades)

We encourage player participation by providing an inclusive, safe and supportive team environment, and offering all our young people opportunities to develop their rugby skills. Throughout the season we also host a number of social activities for our kids and their whānau to just enjoy themselves and have some fun! 

We welcome all new and returning junior players and their whānau to come along and experience what it means to be a part of the Rhinos!

Season fee: $40 per player

JUNIOR RUGBY 2022 SEASON

28 Feb: Pre-season fitness training for grades U8 - U13 starts at 5:30 pm every Mon.

28 Mar: Pre-season fitness training for grades U6-U7 starts at 5:30pm every Mon.

15 Apr: Good Friday 

18 Apr: Easter Monday (no training)

25 Apr: ANZAC Day (no training)

29 Apr: All weigh-ins for all tackle grades Y3-8 must be completed by this date

6/7 May: Junior Rugby Season starts

6 Jun: Queens Birthday

24 Jun: Matariki Public Holiday

15/16 Jul: No junior rugby

22/23 Jul: No junior rugby

27 Aug: Junior Rugby Ends
