Grade Track Relays
Each grade team (female and male) comprises 4 athlets per team and compete in the following championship events:
4 x 100m
4 x 200m
Medley Relay
In addition, there are two unique team relay championship events:
Mixed Grade - Mixed Distance Relay
1 x Grade 10; 1 x Grade 11; 1 x Grade 12; 1 x Grade 13, and 1 x Grade 14
Each athlete completes one leg of the relay - comprising:
2 x 100m; 1 x 200m; 1 x 400m and 1 x 800m
Members of the relay can run in any order
Mixed Grade - Mixed Field Event Relay
Each team consists of 2 females and 2 males for each Grade
Each athlete competes in long jump, shot put and discus
Points are allocated for each athlete depending on their grade results and then tallied up for grade team totals

Colgate Games are New Zealand's largest Junior athletics competitions - held over 3 days in January
Grades 7 to 14 are eligible to compete
Colgate Games run from Friday morning through to Sunday afternoon – with relays being the last events of each day
On Friday morning there is an opening ceremony and athlete march past parade

Depending on the individuals performance in each event points are scored and then tallied to determine the overall grade placegetters
