Team Registrations Close 24th April 2026

• Schools/Clubs are to follow the registration process on our 'Register Here' page on our website​​​​​​​

• Teams are school based
  • ​​​​​​​If your child wants to play netball please contact your school
  • Schools will take registrations usually during March & April each year, so check with your school to ensure your child is registered and placed into a team​​​​​​​

• ​​​​​​​Players must be Year 3 and older to play in a school team.
  • Year 1 & 2 students register with Taupo Netball Centre with their Year 1 & 2 programme, see please check our website for more details

• 12 week programme
• ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​All coaches are to attend a compulsory workshop which will cover the philosophy of the Mother Earth futureFERNS programme, fundamental skill sessions, Netball Smart warm-up, the modified game and game day at TNC. This is a fun, practical workshop and is an awesome way to start the season especially for those new to coaching.
• All coaches attending the workshop will receive access to the NNZ resource book which has week by week skill sessions all prepared for you....no planning necessary, just follow along.
  
• Games will be: 
  • 1 x game against opposition
    • 1st quarter @ 10 minutes
      • 90 second 1/4 time break
    • 2nd quarter @ 10 minutes
      • 2 minute 1/2 time break
    • 3rd quarter @ 10 minutes
      • 90 second 3/4 time break
    • 4th quarter @ 10 minutes

• Starts 9th May
• Saturday mornings between 8.30am & 12.30pm (keep an eye on the draw on this website for game times)
• Games are played at OD Park, Centennial Drive, Taupo​​​​​​​

• Schools may set their own fees for players but will include the TNC Y7 & Y8 affiliation fee
• TNC Y7 & Y8 player affiliation fee is $75 per player

All teams/schools/clubs will be invoiced and payment is due by 20th June

CANCELLATIONS

Notifications of any cancellations will be put on the following by 8.30am for juniors.  We endeavour not to have teams that travel from out of Taupo not play the first round incase we have cancellations.

NOTE: We may choose to cancel games as the day progresses if the weather deteriorates, however where we can we will progress with games while the weather is deemed ok.

YEAR 7 & 8 CANCELLATIONS

This age group are unlikely to have cancellations but take note:

• Cold - they will still play
• Light rain - they will still play
• Rain - they will still play
• Severe weather - will not play
