Year 7 & 8 Netball - 7 vs 7

Year 7 & 8 players are transitioning from ‘learning’ to ‘participating’ in Netball.  Players have a wide range of skill levels and aspirations as they develop at differing rates.  Enjoyment and fun are still key drivers for participation, but at the same time performance, challenge and improvement are often key motivators. To ensure players have the opportunity to apply their skills and stay motivated, competitive events are recommended but the emphasis is still on improving rather than winning.

Goal Post Height – 3.05m (10 feet)

Start of Play
Play shall be started and restarted after every goal scored and after each interval

Duration of the game
Games are four 10-minute quarters with two minutes at each interval to allow players to have a drink and rotate positions.

Substitution
Players may be substituted at any break or interval.
