2027 Bowling Calendar

Updated February  2026 Effective immediately, the International Bowling Federation (IBF) will permit only urethane bowling balls that are manufactured with a minimum hardness of 78D and are approved by USBC for use in IBF events, including World Championships and World Cups. Random hardness checks may be carried out during events. Any ball that measures below 72D will be declared non-compliant and removed from the competition.

All slow oil-absorbing high-performance bowling ball models as well as any slow oil absorbing high-performance balls (Urethane) produced prior to Aug. 1, 2022, are ineligible for competition.

Urethane bowling balls that were previously approved and measure below 78D, but remain on the USBC approved ball list, may still be used in tournaments that choose to allow them. However, they are not permitted in IBF events under this new regulation.

Only USBC-approved bowling balls are allowed and MUST have the manufacturer's name, product name and serial number clearly visible. The serial number must be the original number. Any ball that does not meet this requirement will not be allowed to play.
2027 Apr 1st - 15th World Seniors Championships Bangkok, Thailand TBC

U.S. Collegiates 2026-2027 Season
2026-2027 Intercollegiate Sectionals competition will be held from March 12 - 14th 2027 at Cityview Lanes in Fort Worth, Texas, Smyrna Bowling Center in Smyrna, Tennessee, Stardust Bowl in Addison, Illinois and Mount Lebanon Lanes in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. USBC Collegiate Sectionals and USBC Intercollegiate Singles & Team National Championships where No Slow Oil-Absorbing High Performance Balls are allowed - National Tournament Ineligible Ball List  All slow oil-absorbing high-performance bowling ball models listed on this List, as well as any slow oil absorbing high-performance balls (Urethane) produced prior to Aug. 1, 2022, are ineligible for competition. In addition, some of the balls listed are ineligible for other reasons as determined by USBC rules.
