I first became involved in Te Waipounamu Māori Netball as a Māma when my middle daughter made the U13s.  From then I moved to netball coordinator and then to my current position as one of the regional coordinators.  Māori netball is another pathway to higher recognition ie BEKO teams, ANZ Premiership teams and the Silver Ferns.

I have fond memories growing up and playing for Te Waipounamu as a young school girl. Making new friends, staying in the marae and taking the long bus trips up north! Being involved and giving back is what drives my passion for Maori Netball. My role is to oversee the growth and delivery of netball within Te Waipounamu. I am fortunate to have been involved with various netball development programmes working for Netball South Zone and Southern Steel and Netball Mainland BEKO. I am the former Aotearoa Maori Netball International Secondary Schools Head Coach and held the role from 2018 - 2022. I oversee the campaign delivery including running of Performance Camps, lead the team away at tournaments and convene the selection of the national team. Easter National Tournament has always been one of my favourites and it is a special honour to be apart of.
