All coaches have read and understand the Coaches Code of Responsibility and Code of Conduct, attended a Small Blacks Course and registered online.

THE ROLE OF THE COACH

Objectives:

• To provide a safe, and enjoyable experience whereby the player develops a love for the game
• To help foster the progression of skills, fitness and game awareness
• To provide equitable and equal opportunities for all players so they can improve

COACH DEVELOPMENT

The Coach Development Programme is designed to offer value to coaches at all levels of the game with the aim of creating better coaches. All courses are NZRU accredited and facilitated by Bay of Plenty Rugby Union Coach Development Manager.

Rugby Smart provides tips, training guides and coaching videos from experts to ensure players and teams perform at their best - focusing on physical conditioning, rugby techniques and injury management.
