Teacher of Technology 
We are seeking an adaptable and innovative Technology teacher to join our well-resourced Technology department. The successful applicant will be able to build positive working relationships with students and support personalised, project-based learning programmes.

The ability to teach across junior and senior Technology programmes, including workshop-based courses, would be an advantage. Familiarity with BCITO and Competenz standards and assessment practices would be an advantage. We value innovative teaching practices, culturally responsive pedagogy, and a commitment to supporting student success.

Please state specialist subject areas and any workshop or technology strengths. This is a permanent, full-time position commencing in Term 3, 2026, or by agreement.

Examination Centre Manager
THS is seeking an Examination Centre Manager to run the NCEA and NZ Scholarship examinations in 2026 onwards.

The smooth and successful running of an exam centre is important for all students participating in these examinations.

The position requires you to complete an online training programme and attend a one-day training session with NZQA in August. You would need to complete several administrative tasks to plan and prepare for the exams from August to October. You must be available to work for the entire exam period (Tuesday, 10 November - Friday, 4 December 2026) You will need to have confidence in managing and supporting a team of exam supervisors and reader/writer assistants to ensure they undertake duties in accordance with best practice.

Along with a high level of organisational skills and great attention to detail, the successful candidate must enjoy dealing with young people and be focused on providing a positive experience for students during an important time in their academic lives. A high level of proficiency in using a computer and learning to use new computer programmes are essential qualities for this role. You will need to be able to operate within current school structures and systems.
