*Definition of a competition/module

Juniors and Seniors are classified as separate competitions even if they run on the same day/night. Running over different days of the week also constitutes separate competitions; for example, if the Module run Mixed Social on Monday and then Men's, Women's and Juniors on Tuesday then this equates to 3 competitions and you will be invoiced for number of teams in all competitions.

Player and Team Registration

Touch NZ is required to provide the annual Touch membership numbers to Sport NZ. This reporting directly effects government funding to the sport and your assistance is vital. Team and Player Information is required to be provided to Touch New Zealand by Tuesday December 20th 2022 in one of the following ways:

Full Online Registration through Sporty

This service provides Module operators with a full package of Online Management tools to run your Touch Module. Teams and Players will be able to Register Online and you will be able to track registrations, communicate with your players and accept season fees.

Touch New Zealand will provide support free of charge and will work with you to set your competition up. Support will also be provided to your members on how to use the system. It can either be integrated into your existing website or a new website can be created.

Handwritten teamsheets will not be accepted.

Non-compliance in the the return of Player Information by December 20, 2022 will result in your Touch module compromising their affiliate status with Touch NZ and your Provincial Association.

"Player Information" refers to First Name, Surname, Date of Birth, Email, Ethnicity and Mobile Phone.

Module Managers are encouraged to contact  Touch New Zealand on 0800 TOUCH NZ or [email protected] to assist with the set-up for Online Registration

Online Registration System

Touch NZ uses a national online registration service provided by Sportsground on the Sporty.co.nz platform.

Module organisers, team managers and players can easily update details through the online registration system from Sporty.co.nz. When teams and players are registered online, details automatically become available to Touch NZ, meeting our reporting and compliance requirements.

Online registrations are designed to reduce the workload on touch organisers, while also improving the accuracy of information provided to Touch NZ. This process allows touch organisers, teams and players to avoid completing paper forms and manual spreadsheets.

The online registration solution is available to all Touch competitions that are affiliated with Touch NZ.
