FIRST KICKS - Children born 2019-2022

This is the first introduction to football. With the changes to Football introduced by NZ Football as part of their Whole of Football 2.0 plan, we are changing how Junior Football is run in 2026. 

PLEASE NOTE:  CHILDREN MUST BE TURNING 4 YRS OLD, OR HAVE TURNED 4 YRS OLD ON OR BEFORE 31 MAY 2026.

The First Kicks season runs from early May to late August, exact dates TBC. 

Parent's/Guardians involvement is mandatory for kids registering in 2026. 

The sessions will be a run by a coach/facilitator, the sessions will involve 3 stations set up and kids split into groups. The kids will rotate in those stations, the facilitator will run one station, two parents each week will run a station each. There will be a rotating schedule so each child parent will most likely only end up being needed 2 or 3 times in the year depending on how many kids per age group. All instructions will be given by the facilitator to the parents helping in the session prior to the session. 

Then at the end of the session, kids will be put into teams of 3's and play mini matches. 

At this stage, our Senior First Team Coach will most likely look after the Under 5's but we are still looking for a facilitator for Under 6's and Under 7's.

Fees

The fees for the 2025 season have been set as follows

Junior – First Kicks (4-7 yrs)

$80 Standard

Socks:

These can be purchased from the club for $20 or you can use previously purchased socks.
