Registration
Tui Tonga Canoe Club (TTCC) has a probationary period for all “new paddlers” i.e. they have 4 paddling sessions to decide whether they like the sport of Waka Ama (Outrigger Canoe Paddling) before they pay a membership fee. If you have then decide that you want to continue with this new found sport, and more so you would like to remain with the TTCC, the following 4 procedures must then follow:
1.Apply to the Executive committee for approval of membership.
2. Fill out the TTCC registration and medical registration form.
3.Pay Club Fees
4.Apply for a Nga Kaihoe o Aotearoa ID Card. (WANZ or Waka Ama New Zealand)
Tui Tonga Canoe Club Yearly Fees:
Adult Paddler (20 years and over) - $150
Junior 19 (14 to 19 years) - $90
Intermediate & Midget (13 years and under) - $50
What Your Fees Pay For
As a paid up member of the Tui Tonga Canoe Club, your fee goes towards:
- Insurance of all club assets
- Clubs Annual lease of the Club Grounds
- Maintenance on all Club owned W6 canoes
- Registration fees and maintenance fees of all Club trailers
- Waka Trolley and Waka Rack maintenance
- Club Running Expenses
- Affiliation fee for WANZ and AROCA (See below)
Nga Kaihoe O Aotearoa (WANZ or Waka Ama NZ)
WANZ is our governing National Body for waka ama, and the WANZ fee is an annual fee payable per paddler per year to this Organisation. As an affiliated club, it is our responsibility to collect the WANZ fee off each club member and pass it on to WANZ. WANZ fees below:

$15 per Open/Senior (20 years and over)
$12 per Junior (14 to 19 years)
$5 per Midget/Intermediate (13 years and under)
Auckland Region Outrigger Canoe Association (AROCA)
AROCA is the regional body for waka ama in Auckland and the AROCA fee is an annual fee payable per paddler per year to this organisation as of October 2016. As an affiliated club, it is our responsibility to collect the AROCA fee off each club member and pass this onto AROCA. AROCA fees below:
AROCA Fee Structure
$10 per Open/Senior (20 years and over)
$5 per Junior (14 to 19 years)
$5 per Midget/Intermediate (13 years and under)
Existing Members
For existing club members club fees are due 31st August. Any fees received after this date by existing club members will incur a $40 fee on the total payable amount. We do provide a payment plan for all club members but this must be approved by our Treasurer. All club fees must be paid before registration acceptance into the National Waka Ama Sprints Regatta in January.
All payments and forms are to be returned to the Club Treasurer.
ID Card to race:
WANZ ID registration cards have a fee of $5.00 per paddler. (These fees are subject to change, especially at peak time, close to the Sprint Nationals where prices may increase). These cards are a must to be able to compete in any of the Waka Ama regattas. (No ID card, no paddle).
