JUNIOR NETBALL 2025
Junior Netballers will continue to play on Friday afternoons in Oamaru.Games will be 8 minute quaters with 1 or 2 minutes in between.
The Twizel Netball club has asked for permission to take children out of school on a Friday afternoon, This will not affect children’s attendance, They will simply be marked as they are attending class offsite. However, students need to meet the attendance standards in line with the schools Co-Curricular Policy - (Students must meet Ministry of Education minimum attendance requirement of 80% to gain approval to
attend co-curricular activities, extra-curricular activities, clubs, or external events (board exemptions may be
in place for students in categories such as ORS, ICS, supported by Health School, dual enrolled, careers or
transition out of school).)
Players will travel in a school van or via parent cars. We will require parents to help with driving when needed. This will be discussed between parents and coaches.
2025 Season dates
The season will begin on the Friday 3rd of May and finish on the Friday 29th of August.
Netball will be played the last day of term (Friday 27th June), but not the 2 fridays during holidays. So will return on Friday 17th July.
There will be netball on the Friday before Kings Birthday Weekend, But no netball on Friday 20th June (Matariki).
