What group is my child in on the 3rd November?
You will be advised prior to the start of swim club as to what time your child is swimming.  This will be done via email.


When is the first club night?
Monday, 3rd November 2025

What happens on swim club nights?
Please come 10 minutes before your session is due to start. Please stay with your child until it is time for them to go to their coach. You might find your child is moved to a different coach or time after their first lesson.
Please do not let your child get into the pool until it is their lesson time.

What if it is raining?
Lessons are only cancelled in extreme weather conditions - please follow or check our facebook page or the web page for any cancellations


Does my child have to wear a swimming cap?
Yes. For reasons of hygiene and swimming efficiency, all children in the main pool are required to wear a cap.
Please ensure that your child remembers their swim cap!


What are the fees and when are they due?​​​​​​​

Fees for the 2025/26 Summer season are as follows:

  • $135 for ANY swimmers in the 1 hour squad OR
  • $100 for the first child (unless Squad Swimmer)
  • $95 for the second child
  • $90 for the third child
  • Fourth child is free

All fees should be paid upon registration, if you have not paid prior to the season starting, your child may not be able to swim.

What do I do if my child is sick/cannot attend for a session?

As per Ministry of Health guidelines, please keep your child away for 48hrs after the last sign of symptoms.


What do I do if I want to withdraw my child?
Please let us know by emailing us at waikanae.swimclub@gmail.com
We currently have a waitlist of children wishing to join the club.  If you withdraw your child prior to the season starting, we will refund any paid subs you have paid.

If lessons have already begun, and you decide to withdraw your child, no refund of any paid subs will be provided.

What else do I need to know?
Entry to the pool is through the main reception. We are very privileged to have sole hire of the pool. Please do all you can to respect this.​​​​​​​
