A Team managers role is pivotal to the success of a team
A Waikohu Sports Club Team Managers role is:
- Support the coach with all administrative tasks
- Ensure all players/parents/caregivers are made aware of training times, cancellations, game times, and/or any other commitments the team is scheduled to be at
- Liaise with parents/players regarding any Club fundraising events, club day celebrations
- Manage Game day tasks which include ensuring all team documentation is signed and returned to the regional sports association on time (NB: JAB will need to be discussed and supported by the Club Delegate for all dispensation requests). All players have correct equipment and the team have water/hydration.
- Follows and enforces club values and behaviours
- Manage all player/parent contact details (update where required)
- See continual opportunities to build on your managing knowledge, taking advantage of the support classes provided by Poverty Bay Rugby Union, Gisborne Netball Association, Sport Tairawhiti and Affiliated organisations.
- If a parent is not going to be present at a training or on a game day, please ensure you have the name and contact details of who is responsible for the child especially in event of an emergency
- Attend practices if able, otherwise liaise with the coach regarding any relevant information resulting from practices
- Be aware of relevant medical conditions of players in team
- Be responsible for collection of money for club fundraisers, and pass onto the club fundraising committee
- Liaise with Club Delegate for respective codes.
