The four-week Introductory Programme starts at 6.30pm on Sunday 10 March 2024. Previous shooting experience is not required as the programme includes personal guidance on firearm and range safety, use of specialised club equipment, coaching, targets and all the ammunition you need over those four weeks. At the end of the programme you will be assessed and if you’ve shown the right attitude and performance then you may be selected and offered a place in the Wellington College Shooting Team.
Parents are also encouraged to come along and have a go.

Wellington College Shooting Team:
If selected then you’ll be part of a team that has a long history of high-performance, with Wellington College shooters having represented the Wellington region all the way up to earning their School Blues by shooting internationally in the New Zealand Secondary School’s team.
Training:After the selections are made, team training is Sundays from 6.00pm until 8.00pm. The team will also go to shooting competitions around the Wellington region. If selected the shooters will be expected to commit to attending a number of club and inter-club competitions as well as inter-school shooting events through the season. The fees cover all club membership and affiliations, coaching, training materials, use of club shooting equipment and 500 rounds of ammunition.
