Situated at the West Melton Domain.

Clubrooms include three changing rooms, including showers. Large deck area looking to the number one field, complete with modern kitchen and projector with Sky TV. Three full size rugby fields, two junior fields. Senior fields lit for night rugby and training.


Div 1, Div 3, Colts, Golden Oldies, all grades in JAB. All competing in the Ellesmere Rugby Sub Union.

Club History

The Club was formed in 1974. In 2015 the township celebrated 150years with the club being 41yrs.

Representative History

Many players have represented Ellesmere, Canterbury Country & Canterbury rugby.

With Sam Dickson making the All Black Sevens in 2012 and still playing.


To provide the resources, support and encouragement necessary to enable all players, coaches and administrators to reach their full potential.
