WMRFC COVID-19 POLICY
New Zealand has adopted the new COVID-19 Protection Framework (traffic light system) effective Friday 3 December to manage the COVID-19 pandemic.
Based on the Sport New Zealand guidelines, the West Melton Rugby Football Club (specifically the clubrooms, deck and surrounding parking spaces) is regarded as a hospitality premise. The WMRFC Committee have agreed unanimously that any player, member or guest entering the facility must have current vaccination certification or approved exemption status. There is no limit on the number of guests at this level.
So current Vaccination Passes are required to enter the WMRFC facilities. This means everyone over 12 years & 3 months old will need to show their My Vaccine Pass (with personal ID) for verification. We will use the NZ Pass Verifier app to scan your My Vaccine Pass on your phone or as a paper record.
So to enter the WMRFC facility:
- Scan in with the My COVID Tracer app as you normally do (or sign in manually).
- One of our team will check your My Vaccine Pass (with personal ID) to verify that your vaccination certification is current.
- Good to go and enjoy your visit!
Regarding registrations for 2022 rugby season, all players over 12 years & 3 months old will need to upload their My Vaccine Pass as part of the registration process. Training and and game day protocols will be announced later.
This is for the health and safety of everyone, and the only way that our club can continue to remain open within the varying traffic light system. Please be understanding of our team - this is completely out of their hands.
