Te Pūtahitanga o te Waipounamu

Te Pūtahitanga are the Whānau Ora commissioning agency for Te Waipounamu / the South Island of New Zealand. They work on behalf of the nine iwi of Te Waipounamu to respond to whānau innovation, to foster and grow inspirational ideas that are whānau-centered, intergenerational, locally driven, and provide direct impact for whānau. They work alongside whānau to create social change from the grass-roots level to enable independent transformational change.



Te Puni Kōkiri

Te Puni Kōkiri was established under the Māori Development Act 1991 to promote “increases in the levels of achievement attained by Māori” in a number of key sectors.

Te Puni Kōkiri has a range of responsibilities that are very broad from te reo Māori and culture through many social and economic issues, to the environment and natural resources.

The Ministry’s strong connections within Māori communities through whānau, hapū and iwi connections, as well as other government agencies helps to generate trusted partnerships and flows of information. This approach enables a shared focus on issues important to Māori.

Providing services, news and events for residents, businesses and visitors to the city of Christchurch and Banks Peninsula.


DIA Lotteries

The Lottery Grants Board aims to maximise the community benefits of lottery grants. Outcomes are all the changes, benefits, learning and effects that happen – or start to happen – as a result of activities, projects or services in communities. The Board’s key funding objectives and request criteria are designed to ensure that lottery grants will contribute towards its vision of New Zealanders building strong sustainable communities together.​​​​​​​


Pub Charity, AGT, Youthtown

Pub Charity ensures the funds raised in gaming machines in their Venue Operators' hotels and taverns go back to support their local community wherever possible. They also fund a range of worthy national organisations that provide support to people all over New Zealand.


He Waka Tapu

He Waka Tapu is a Kaupapa Māori organisation. Services are therefore delivered using a kaupapa Māori framework encompassing Tinana (physical well-being), Wairua (spiritual well-being), Hinengaro (mental well-being), Whānau (family well-being).


The Lion Foundation

The Lion Foundation is one of New Zealand’s oldest and most respected Charitable Trusts. Since 1985 we have returned over $1 billion back to the community, supporting thousands of good causes all around New Zealand.
