PLAYERS CODE OF CONDUCT & ETHICS

As a player of Southern Netball Club, you must meet the following requirements in regard to your conduct during the upcoming Netball Season.


1 Play equally hard for yourself and your team.  Your team’s performance will benefit, so will you!

2 Treat all players as you would like to be treated.  Do not bully or take unfair advantage of another player.

3 Control your temper, any verbal abuse or deliberate contact.  Abusive behaviour is unacceptable.

4 Play by the rules and respect the decision of the umpires.  Be courteous and use correct process when seeking clarification on rules.

5 Participate fairly and safety. 


6 Be a good sport, cheer all good play from both your team, the opposition and from the bench.

7 Appreciate and co-operate with your coach, teammates and officials.  There would be no game without them.

8 Take responsibility for your performance on and off the court. Be honest and upfront with your coach concerning illness and injury and your ability to train or play fully.

9. Advise the coach at the beginning of the season if you will be away for any games or as soon as able.

10. All Uniforms must be looked after and returned on your last playing day of the season or the club will issue an invoice for them.

11. If you feel you are not being fairly listened to or treated, please discuss with your team manager first, or if you cannot talk to either your Coach or Manger, please discuss any concerns with your Junior or Senior Co-ordinator.

12.  You will be asked to participate in Fundraising throughout the season.  This fundraising goes towards the cost of court fees, uniforms and the support you will receive throughout the season.  Please support all fundraising as much as you can.
