NZ WATER POLO NATIONAL TOURNAMENTS

1. Division of costs associated with Travel

Southland Water Polo will pay for the Coach and Managers portion of flights, accommodation and daily food allowance. Coach and manager travelling with the U12 will be reimbursed to the amount of $30 per day (if players are billeted) However if the coach and managers are staying with team then these costs are covered by the team funds (included in the player allowance) with a buffer if required by Southland Water Polo.

2. A non refundable deposit

2.1 After the naming of the team a deposit of $200 will be paid within 10 working to secure the players position within the team.
2.1.a If the player cannot attend the tournament due to injury or personal reasons then this deposit will not be refunded, plus the player will be liable for any additional costs that can not be recouped by the club.

3. If a player wishes to travel separate to the teams travel arrangements

3.1 The parent must purchase the replacement flight and send confirmation of flight details to the manager prior to the confirmation of team flights. (5 weeks before the team departure date)

3.2 As soon as a player leaves the team, Southland Water Polo ceases to hold responsibility for the player and all responsibility for guardianship then falls to the parents. All requests need to be made in writing to the Board prior to leaving to attend the tournament.

3.3 Any cost associated with the cancellation or transfer of flights including any loss of deposit paid is the responsibility of the player. The player will also lose any share of any team grants received.

4. Individual / Team fundraising

4.1 Before a player intends to complete individual fundraising using Southland Water Polo name/nationals the player must inform the manager the plan of the intended method of fundraiser including venue, date and expected profit, i.e. Scratchy board x 2, Windsor New World, 05/09/2020 and 12/09/2020 with a profit of $100.

4.2 All funds received by individual fundraising is to be banked into the Southland Water Polo bank account against the players name to be credited off any costs associated with that player attending any nationals.

4.3 If the player departs the club and they have fundraising credits, this remains with Southland Water Polo and will not be refunded.

4.4 The method of divisions of funds raised by the team need to be presented to the Board and the participants before the fundraising takes place.

4.5 The club name or logo may be used, with permission from the board, however the team age group or event is not to be used on any advertising or flyer.

I understand that once my child leaves the team, that Southland Water Polo ceases to hold responsibility for the player and all responsibility for guardianship then falls to the parents.
I understand that I am responsible for organising and covering the cost of transfers involved.
I agree to pay for all fees associated with the transfer/amendment/cancellation of my sons/daughters travel arrangements that are incurred by Southland Water Polo.
I understand that there will not be any refund and I will be liable for any additional costs that may be incurred.
I acknowledge that I may lose all or part of any team grant that may have been allocated to my child
