Dear Members
This is a letter of invitation to our 43rd year of the National United CT Outdoor Bowls Tournament which is to be held at City Club 2000 on 2nd and 3rd of March 2019 in Palmerston North.
As you may or not be aware, this tournament had been changed as of this year from ‘Fours’ to ‘Triples – 3 bowls’ to which Rotorua CT Club hosted earlier this year.
For the first time in history since this has been held each year a full ladies team won this prestigious event, this being Mere Fryer, (myself) Emily Gray and June Krivan.
We hope next year this tournament will have more teams competing which would make it more eventful and competitive competition.
In earlier years the numbers have sadly been dropping off, so we are hoping you can chat to your members in taking part in this annual event of bowls.
We are making a promise to you all that between you and our City Club 2000 this will be another year of fun, laughter, good food, great company with each other and of course prizes to go with it.
People say ‘Outdoor Bowls’ is just for old people? We are not old, we are just trying to keep it alive for us all!
So, let’s all get together and make it happen!
We anticipate the entry form will be sent to you to complete early next year.
Please note your entry includes, morning/lunch/afternoon tea both days and a dinner on the Saturday evening for all participating members. And not forgetting our supporters who will have to pay for their own meals.
