Jayda Akuhata-Brown Memorial Throwers Meet 

Saturday, 19 October 2024 / Mitre 10 Sports Park, Hastings

Jayda was a HBG and Wairoa thrower who tragically passed away at age 13.  She was a very talented thrower who touched a lot of people lives in such a short time in HB so this meet is in her memory. 

There will be spot prizes and all throwing events, 100m, and LJ.

Please email Sharee (1nurse69@gmail.com) with any athletes wishing to compete at this meet so she can accumulate entries for planning.

HBG Throws Pentathlon 

Saturday, 21 December 2024 /  Mitre 10 Sports Park, Hastings, 1pm start

We would like to invite all senior registered club members who would like to come along and have a days competition to run fun, alternative events like the throws pentathlon.

AGE GROUPS

SENIOR - ARE AS PER ANZ GUIDELINES - AGE AS PER THE YEAR OF THE COMPETITION. i.e. the age you turn this year. - U16, U18, U20 and Senior.

JUNIOR - AS OF THE 31 DECEMBER 2024 UP TO AND INCLUDING 14 YEARS.

If you wish to be considered for the Athletic NZ Track and Field Champs then you must throw the age appropriate weight and hurdle height.

​​​​​​​HBG Junior Track and Field Championships 2025 - Saturday, 8 February 2025 - Mitre 10 Sports Park, Hastings

ANZ Track and Field Championships 2025 - Thursday, 6 March to Sunday 9 March 2025 - Caledonian Stadium, Dunedin 

To be elgible to compete at these National champs you must have competed at the HBG senior champs or asked for dispensation and have met the Athletic NZ qualification marks at least once.

These are now run over four days and include an Uner 16 grade
