Interzones is the highest level a player can perform at within New Zealand. Within the Southern region the aim is to send 4 teams to Regionals each year, an A & B team in both the Men's & Women's grades. The selection panel is made up of a group of elite-level players from each of the Southern Regions who offer their insight from their respective regions to create the best teams the South can send each and every year. The New Zealand Elite Interzone Championships are organised for the zone teams from around the country to battle it out to become champions. The tournament is played at the Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre in the first quarter of every year. |
