Kia ora Koutou,

August is an exciting time for netball, and we would like to begin by congratulating the Silver Ferns on their outstanding Commonwealth Games gold medal win. This achievement is a proud moment for netball across Aotearoa and a wonderful reminder of the talent, dedication, and resilience within our sport.

Across the Zone, we are now looking ahead to an exciting finals period, with competitions coming to a close and teams preparing to take the court in some highly anticipated match ups. We wish all players, coaches, officials, volunteers, and supporters the very best as they head into this final stage of the season.

This month is shaping up to be a full and exciting month in the pathways space, with a range of opportunities and events supporting the continued development of our players. We are especially looking forward to seeing more high school players recognised through the Talent ID opportunity taking place at South Island Secondary Schools (SISS) at the end of the month.

It is fantastic to see so much energy and momentum across our netball community, and we look forward to continuing to support our Centres and participants throughout this busy and rewarding part of the season.
