Covid-19 Safe Training & Safe Playing Guidelines

Check back here for the latest information about how trainings and game days will be delivered safely.

Safe Training

It's important that all players, parents, caregivers and families follow the guidelines below when attending East Coast Bays Trainings.

Guidance from NZ Football states we have to have the following protocols in place before any teams can practice:

  • Appropriate hygiene processes in place for participants and equipment
  • Approved contact tracing for all attendees at training
  • 2-metre social distancing outside of training activities
  • No mingling between practicing groups and supporters
  • Arrival/Departure protocols

We have implemented

  • A staggered training schedule
  • Washing/sanitizing hands for all participants prior to and after training
  • Sanitation for all equipment and a no-touch policy
  • A simple to use QR Code and Scanner that allows us to implement contact tracing with data security that mimics your football registration data and is automatically deleted after 30 days
  • Everyone attending training sessions MUST be registered in Comet
  • Mandatory online coach and manager training in all training requirements for Level 2
  • Designated areas for Arrival and Departure

Safe Playing

At this stage guidelines for the safe commencement of game days are yet to be developed.  Information about managing game days will be posted here as soon as it is available.
