ABOUT EAST COAST BAYS UNITED SOFTBALL CLUB

Kia ora. Haere mai. Welcome to East Coast Bays United Softball Club.

Founded in 1977, East Coast Bays United Softball Club is one of New Zealand's largest softball clubs, proudly based on Auckland's North Shore.

At ECB Softball, we're passionate about creating a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment where players of all ages and abilities can enjoy the game, develop their skills, and build lasting friendships. Whether you're picking up a glove for the first time or competing at a high level, our club provides opportunities for everyone to reach their potential. For players aspiring to representative honours, we are committed to supporting their development and progression.

Our club is run entirely by dedicated volunteers whose passion and commitment make everything we do possible. We are especially grateful to our coaches, many of whom have been part of the ECB family for years, generously sharing their knowledge and mentoring the next generation of coaches and players.

We welcome players from as young as five years old through to senior grades, offering both social and competitive softball programmes. Our home grounds are at the North Harbour Softball Association facilities at Rosedale Park, Albany, where all games are played throughout the season.

The softball season runs from September through March, with a break over the Christmas holiday period. Registrations typically open in July each year, with all registration details, club news, and important updates available through this website.

ECB Softball is proud of its strong community culture and commitment to excellence. Recent achievements include being named Softball New Zealand Club of the Year 2022/23, while long-serving club member Suzette Taylor received both the Volunteer of the Year and Softballer of the Year awards. We have also proudly won the North Harbour Top Club Trophy for two consecutive seasons.
