OVERSEAS PLAYERS – EAST COAST BAYS SOFTBALL CLUB

We regularly receive enquiries from international softball players interested in joining East Coast Bays United Softball Club. We warmly welcome this interest and are proud to attract talent from around the world to be a part of our community.

OUR SEASON

Our playing season generally runs as follows (with exact dates confirmed annually):

  • Premier & Premier Reserve Grades: September – end of March
  • Junior & Other Senior Grades: Late October – end of March

Note: These timeframes may vary slightly depending on regional competition schedules.

ABOUT THE CLUB

East Coast Bays Softball Club is a community-focused organization with a strong emphasis on culture, connection, and mutual support. We pride ourselves on being a family-oriented club where players are valued both on and off the field.

Our home games are played at the North Harbour Softball Association, located at Rosedale Park in Albany, Auckland, New Zealand.

We are dedicated to providing:

⚠️ Premier Men's Availability: Our Premier Men's team currently has fulfilled its maximum roster of 3 overseas players. If you would like to be considered for the 2027/28 season, please let us know.

🥎 Premier Reserve Women's Opportunity: We are actively seeking and interested in a pitcher for our Premier Reserve Women's team for the upcoming season.

  • Player Experience: Tell us about your playing history, background, and preferred position(s).
  • Playing Expectations: Are you primarily looking for a competitive playing role, coaching opportunities, or a mix of both?
  • Travel Arrangements: Are you seeking a financial contribution toward your travel costs?
  • Accommodation & Living: What level of support would you require regarding housing and general living expenses while in New Zealand?
  • Employment: Do you intend to work while you are here, and would you require assistance or networking support to secure employment?
  • Visas & Entry Permits: Players are responsible for applying for and securing the correct entry visas for New Zealand. If you intend to work, you must obtain a valid work visa. Please let us know what documentation or supporting letters you might need from the club in this area.
