This Sub Association was formed in the late 1860s. The Sub Association has three existing senior clubs - Leeston-Southbridge, Lincoln and Weedons.

These clubs compete in a combined competition with the Hurunui, North Canterbury, Banks Peninsula and Malvern clubs with a final in February.
