Coaches, Managers & Volunteers for Featherston Junior Netball.

Kia ora Community, Featherston Netball Club Whanau & Wider,

We are thrilled to introduce our dedicated team of volunteers who will be coaching, managing, and organizing our junior netball in 2025. We warmly welcome each of them and deeply appreciate their commitment to our tamariki.

**LISA REID**

* **Role:** Featherston Junior Netball Delegate

* **Assistant Coach / Team Manager:** Year 5 & 6 Teams

With the growing number of tamariki registering for netball, we are delighted to welcome Lisa Reid to the new role of Featherston Junior Netball Delegate. Volunteers are invaluable, and Lisa is a significant asset to the Featherston Netball Club. We extend our sincere gratitude for her support in ensuring our tamariki can take the court in 2025. Lisa will be the main point of contact for all junior netball matters, including registration, newsletters, fundraising, subscriptions, uniforms, and training. She is an exemplary leader, known for her patience, honesty, friendliness, and approachable nature – qualities we highly value in a Junior Netball Delegate. Lisa's daughter, Holly, plays for the Years 5/6 team and has a wonderful passion for netball. Best of luck, Lisa, we are so happy to have you on board.

**ANNA HULL**

* **Coach:** Years 5/6 Teams

A warm welcome to Anna Hull! We are very grateful for your involvement with Featherston Netball. Your skills as a teacher and as a netball player are a tremendous asset to our club. Anna works wonderfully with our tamariki, treating them with the utmost respect. Having coached with Featherston Netball for the past two years, we truly appreciate her continued dedication. Anna's children, Grace and Naomi, are also part of our netball whanau. Anna is known for being loyal, honest, and easily approachable. Last season, Anna coached the Year 5/6 team managed by Lisa Reid, and together they celebrated a grade win at the South Wairarapa Year 5/6 Competition at Kuranui College. We are excited about what 2025 holds for this team, with many players returning from last year. Best of luck, Anna, and to the team!

**TAMYKA HAYES**

* **Coach:** Years 3/4 Teams

A huge welcome back to our awesome Tamyka Hayes! In 2024, Tamyka was a fantastic organizer for our youngest players in Years 1-4. She is another hero in our team of dedicated volunteers and has been a significant support to our younger tamariki. Tamyka's daughter, Kahlea, plays in our Years 3/4 team, even though she is only in Year 2. Tamyka has also generously assisted our college coaches with drills and fun games for the Year 1-2 children. This year, Tamyka is joining the Featherston Senior social team for some fun and exercise. We are also very proud of her fundraising efforts in 2024. Best of luck, Tamyka, we are looking forward to an awesome 2025 and the energy you bring to the team.

**LILLY PADLIE, KHALIA WILSON & LYRIC CLIFTON-SINCLAIR**

* **Coaches/Managers/Umpires:** Years 1/2

We are delighted to welcome our talented college students who will be coaching our Years 1-2 tamariki. This year, these young ones will train on Mondays from 3:15 pm, preparing them for the Years 3/4 level.  Lilly, Khalia, and Lyric have all earned a spot on the Kuranui College Senior A team, and we are incredibly proud of these young ladies. They bring their passion for netball to our children, and we wouldn't be able to offer programs for our youngest players without their help. Lilly and Lyric have both progressed through the junior and senior levels in Featherston. Our college coaches are approachable, friendly, honest, and kind. Please give them a warm welcome – they are the future of our club. We are so grateful for their support and excited to see what they achieve.

**KHALIA WILSON**

* **Coach:** Years 7/8 Team 2

* **Manager:** Years 7/8 Team 1

* **Umpire:** All our junior teams

Khalia, a current member of the Kuranui Senior A team, brings a wealth of netball knowledge to our juniors. She has a wonderful rapport with our children, is highly respected by our volunteer team, and generously helps with our Years 1-4 age groups. Khalia has been playing for Featherston Seniors for the past three years, and we truly appreciate her. It is fantastic to have our college students involved in supporting our juniors, setting a positive example for them. Khalia travels from Greytown, and we are immensely grateful for her time and dedication.

**NIFO ILI**

* **Role:** President

* **Coach:** Year 7/8 Teams 1 & 2, Featherston Netball Senior Teams & Kuranui College Senior A

A heartfelt thank you to all our volunteers! Your support has made a significant difference. Without your dedication and assistance, we would not be able to run the Featherston Netball Club. My top priority is our tamariki. They represent the future of sports, and as a community, we share the responsibility for their health, well-being, safety, and providing them with opportunities to learn and participate in sports.

We also want to express our sincere appreciation to our local schools for their involvement in the registration process for all the Featherston Sports Hub Junior Clubs. You are all stars, especially the wonderful individuals in the school offices – your hard work does not go unnoticed. Furthermore, we extend our gratitude to Featherston School for allowing us to train our junior teams on their courts. Featherston School has been a cornerstone of the Featherston Netball Club.

I am looking forward to working alongside all of you in 2025 and beyond.

Ngā mihi nui,

Nifo Ili
