FANTAILS Programme
Ferrymead Bays is hosting a MILO Fantails programme in 2025.
This is a Girls Only Football Hub, for girls 4-12 years old.
It is designed to develop positive values and skills that can be used in everyday life.
Physical activity and football can be great teachers in helping young people to develop positive behaviours such as making new friends, respecting others, speaking, and listening, working well individually and within a team, having a positive attitude and overcoming challenges. All skills we want our young wahine to acquire.
The girls will learn about and discuss different values and life skills in every session and reflect on how they can be applied in different areas of life.
The sessions will be run by trained Ferrymead Bays coaches.
Keep an eye out for details to be posted here on opportunities to come in Terms 3 and 4.

Regular season information
First Kicks (4 - 6 years)
Our First Kicks programme is for boys and girls (born 2019-2021) who are just starting on their football journey and want to learn basic skills, play games and make new friends.
Games: Saturdays from 9-10am at Ferrymead Park starting on April 26, 2025.
Skills sessions: Mondays from 4-5pm at Ferrymead Park.

FBFC First Kicks/ Fun Football 2025
Fun Football (7 - 8 years)
Fun Football is the next step up for boys and girls (born 2017-2018) who are progressing and developing their skills while playing small-sided games.
The focus is to have fun and help our youngsters fall in love with the game.
Games: Saturdays from 10-11am at Ferrymead Park starting on April 26, 2025.
Skills sessions: Mondays from 4-5pm at Ferrymead Park.

FBFC First Kicks/ Fun Football 2025
Junior Football (9-12 years)
Junior football is for players born between 2013-16, is played on Saturday mornings in the Mainland competition and is split into age bands, playing on different fields around the city at various times.
The focus is still on enjoyment, with no results or tables being recorded.
At the start of the season, players are placed in teams based on graded ability, friendship groups, association to the coach, or general allocation.
Ferrymead Bays FC has multiple teams playing in each age grade.
Junior games start on Saturday, April 26, 2025.
- 9th boys/mixed 7-aside 25 min halves 10.30 am
- 10th boys/mixed 7-aside 25 min halves 9.30 am
- 11th boys/mixed 9-aside 25 min halves 9.45 am
- 12th boys/mixed 9-aside 30 min halves 10.50 am
- 10th girls only 7-aside 25 min halves 10.30 am
- 12th girls only 9-aside 30 min halves 10.50 am
Fee: $230
Junior playing kit: Players need boots and shinpads. Shirts are provided and navy shorts and socks can be bought from our online shop.
Skills sessions: Available now via Otakaro FC.
