HBG Track & Field Championships 2024
These Champs will now be run over two days at the Hastings Athletic Club's club night. 

Saturday 10 February - Mitre 10 Park, Hastings

Tuesday 13 February - Hastings Athletic Club Club Night - 3000m/5000m - 6.45pm

Tuesday 20 February - Hastings Athletic Club Club Night - Steeplechase - 7.30pm

Please let the office know if you wish to compete in these champs they will be required to fill in the spreadsheet provided to them, by Tuesday, 6th February 2023.

AGE GROUPS

SENIOR - ARE AS PER ANZ GUIDELINES - AGE AS PER THE YEAR OF THE COMPETITION. i.e. the age you turn this year 2023 - U16, U18, U20 and Senior.

JUNIOR - AS OF THE 31 DECEMBER 2023 UP TO AND INCLUDING 14 YEARS.

If you wish to be considered for the Athletic NZ Track and Field Champs then you must throw the age appropriate weight and hurdle height.

Jayda Akuhata-Brown Memorial Throwers Meeting

Jayda was a HBG and Wairoa thrower who tragically passed away at age 13. She was a very talented thrower who touched a lot of people lives in such a short time in HB so this meet is in her memory. 

There will be spot prizes and all throwing events plus 100m and Long Jump.

Please email Sharee ([email protected]) with any athletes wishing to compete at this meet so she can accumulate entries for planning.

To be eligible to compete at these National Championships you must have competed at the HBG senior champs or asked for dispensation and have met the Athletic NZ qualification marks at least once.
