Kaipara Touch

'Kaipātiki Hot Springs' Juniors 2026/27 

Fridays are for touch! Get your school teams together and join the fun thats Touch Rugby. 

Junior teams are school-based — players wanting to play need to go through their school to be placed in a team. If you're a parent or player keen to get involved, get in touch with your school's sports coordinator, who organises and registers teams on behalf of the school.

2026/27 Season Information

GRADES

Year 0/2 MixedYear 3/4 MixedYear 5/6 MixedYear 7/8 Mixed

Teams can have up to 14 players registered

Team Fees: $450

An invoice will be sent once the manager/ school rep has registered through the module link. Payment will confirm a spot in the module.

SEASON DATES

Friday 16th October – Friday 11th December, resuming Friday 12th February – Friday 5th March 2027.

Playing Friday nights from 4pm until 6:00pm

Reccommended Managers/ Coaching Meeting Wednesday 14th October, 5pm.

Venue for this meeting is upstairs at the Helensville Rugby Club.

*This meeting is imperative to understanding our module and a chance to ask questions and network with other coaches, managers and staff of the module.

Venue

Helensville Rugby Club & Rautawhiri Park 

We expect all players, coaches, managers, referees and spectators to be respectful of the property of the Club at all times.

Toilets are located outside on the road side of the building and upstairs.

Uniform & Footwear

Teams should wear tops of the same colour. Numbered tops are useful but not compulsory.

Shoes must be worn. Moulded boots are recommended. No boots with metal sprigs.

No jewellery.

Bibs can be provided if you are playing a team with the same colour. 

ON FIELD Information

*There will be no official scorecards for Year 0/2 or 3/4 grades, instead teams will have enough player of the day certificates to give to every player in the team.

To align with SportNZ and Touch NZ policies no scorecards will be published for Year 0/2 and 3/4 grades. At these levels we focus on fundamentals, participation and fun. These grades will be round robin with NO SEMI FINALS OR FINALS.

Player of the day

Managers will be given enough player of the day certificates and passes for each member of their team thanks to our Junior Module Sponsor 'KAIPĀTIKI HOT SPRINGS'. It is the managers and coaches job to hand these out accordingly to the players in their team, throughout the season. 

Game Ball 

Is provided by the referee

Coaches on the field- Coaches are allowed to be on the field for grades 0–2 and 3-4. Midget coaches are recommended, junior coaches the decision is up to you. 

Scorecards

To align with SportNZ and Touch NZ policies no scorecards will be published for Year 0/2 and 3/4 grades. At these levels we focus on fundamentals, participation and fun.

5-6 and 7-8 Grades- captains will be asked to sign the scorecard at the conclusion of the game. Signing means that you agree with the score. If you do not agree to the score, then do not sign the scorecard and the referee will make a note for the discrepancy to be dealt with. We will come to a consensus. 

DRAWS/ UPDATES

Once the draw is up on our website, we will send out an email to the manager. Draws and updates will be available to see at any time on the website.

Defaults

This is taken seriously! It’s not fair on the opposition, referees and organisation from the coordinators.

Please give 24 hours’ notice if you know you cannot field a team. 

Cancellations

Cancellations are made at 2:00pm. Sent via managers email and updated on

Facebook/ Instagram. We will try our best to play in any reasonable weather conditions. 

Any 'competiton' games that are cancelled will result with teams being awarded 2 points (a draw) on the results table. Unfortunately we will not have the time to play these games the following week. The draw will continue as is.

Facebook and instagram is the best way to keep up to date with all things TOUCH.
