This year's annual Labour Weekend Fishing Competiton is an extra special one as we celebrate 50 years of Kāwhia Boating & Angling Club!

What better way to celebrate our 50th Jubilee weekend than getting out on the water for a day of fishing, friendly competition and plenty of  banter.

PRIZES

Traditionally, the prizes for this competition have been cash prizes, with the amount determined by the number of anglers entered.

But because this year we’re celebrating 50 years of the club, we wanted to make first prize a little extra special!

So for each category ...​​​​​​​

• 1st Place - Okuma Rod & Reel Set worth approx. $500, proudly put up by Kāwhia Boating & Angling Club to celebrate our 50th Jubilee.
• 2nd & 3rd Place - Cash prizes from the competition entry pool, with the final amounts determined by the number of anglers entered.
