Youth Cricket (for high school aged kids)

Lincoln Cricket Club is associated with the Lincoln High School Cricket Club (formerly the Selwyn Lions), who provide the following opportunities for high-school aged boys and girls:

Year 9 Grade

Playing in the Christchurch Metro Year 9 competitions.

Year 10 Grade

Playing in the Christchurch Metro Year 10 competitions. 35-over matches, starting at 1pm on Saturdays.

Years 11-13 Grade

Playing in the Christchurch Metro Youth competitions.  40-over matches starting at 12.30pm on Saturdays. 

2025 Season Dates

The youth cricket season starts in late January early February and runs for the calendar year Approx. dates are 29th January – 19th March and 14th October – 9th December.

The players are largely drawn from Lincoln High School (with some from Ellesmere College) and practices are held at Lincoln High School. Home games are usually at Lincoln High School or Lincoln Domain but may be in other parts of the local district
